The Cyrille Oswald quartet has released their first CD in june 2007. They play all original compositions by Cyrille Oswald. The CD has received five stars in the magazine JAZZ, and is highly acclaimed by both the press and the listeners.

The main influences are modern jazz and latin-american music. Cyrille Oswald has been active for many years in the latin-jazz scene, playing with bands like Nueva Manteca, the Cubob City Big Band, Gerardo Rosales Quintet, Rumbata, Roots United and Fra Fra Sound.
At the same time, he released two earlier CD's on which he plays modern jazz. With the band on his 2nd CD, Kazoo, he played in the final of the Dutch Jazz Competition in 2005.

Both elements, modern and latin jazz, are clearly present in Cyrille's music.

The band has a great rhythm section, with deloitte & touche award winner Stefan Lievestro on bass, the ever-energetic Erik Kooger on drums and the acclaimed Jeroen van Vliet on piano.
